The day of reckoning
Its very sad for a parent to realise that they are not capable of taking care of their child's need. This was an opening statement from a mother who was seeking assistance to take her teenage doughter to high school. The girl passed highly but I have to face her and tell her I failed you since I cant keep my end of the burgain. It was not always like this my mother strugglled single handedly with the 9 of us and made sure we got a decent education and were upright tax payers. I looked at the Mama and wondered has it come to this? Gone are the days when uncles could volunteer to pay something for their relatives or the church or just any welwisher.
